The buyer is required to take the puppy to a licensed
veterinarian for first exam within ten days of possession date for this 3
week contract to be applicable.
Within twenty-one days of the buyer’s possession, should the vet
diagnose puppy with external or internal infestations (parasites, worms, ear
mites, giardia, coccidian, etc..) or diagnose puppy with communicable or infectious
disease, the breeder agrees to pay the following:
Total combined reimbursements under the 3 week contract will not exceed $150. The breeder reserves the right to base reimbursements on local Strasburg Vet Clinic fees.
Breeder will refund 100% of puppy price if congenital
abnormality is affecting the animal’s quality of life. The
following factors (mobility, appetite/eating ability, breathing, discomfort,
incontinence, mental capacity, behavior issues, and response to treatment) will
be considered when accessing the quality of life.
Things not
included in the one-year contract are infectious diseases,
viruses, parasites infestations, worms, giardia, coccidia, accidental injuries,
foreign inhalation, indigestion of harmful substances, and heat
exhaustion.
The breeder will reimburse 100% of the extra cost to fix at
time of spay/neutering umbilical hernias, undescended testicles, or other congenital
abnormalities that are not affecting the animal’s quality of life but require
necessary surgical correction to remove the risk of complications.
For
one-year contract reimbursements, the breeder requests the buyer’s licensed vet makes all
claims in writing.
Total combined reimbursements under the
one-year contract will not exceed price of the puppy. The breeder
reserves the right to base reimbursements on local Strasburg Vet Clinic fees.
In the rare
case of an unexpected, unexplainable death, the breeder will refund 100% of
puppy price as well as autopsy cost if findings are due to a congenital disorder.
