2-week Contrac
t
The buyer must take the
puppy to a licensed veterinarian for first routine exam within ten days
ofpossession date for this 2-week contract to be applicable (otherwise null).
Within fourteen days of the
buyer’s possession, should the vet diagnose puppy with external or internal
infestations (parasites, worms, ear mites, giardia, coccidian, etc..) or diagnose
puppy with communicable or infectious disease, the breeder agrees to reimburse 50%
of the following items:
1) One vet exam cost related to diagnosisonlyand not a routine exam
2) Initial lab cost to diagnose problem
3) Medical
procedure cost totreat the puppy
4) Prescribed medication to treat the puppy
The
breeder will not pay for initial or routine vet exam that discovered a health
problem, dewormer meds when worms are not present, and general indirect vet
fees.
Total combined reimbursements under the 2-week
contract will not exceed $150.
One-year Contract
Breeder will refund 100% of puppy price if congenital abnormality is affecting
animal’s quality of life. The following
factors (mobility, appetite/eating ability,
breathing, discomfort, incontinence, mental capacity, behavior issues, and response to treatment) will be
considered when accessing the quality of life.
Things not included in the one-year contract are infectious diseases,
viruses, parasites infestations, worms, giardia, coccidia, accidental injuries,
foreign inhalation, indigestion of harmful substances, and heat
exhaustion.
The breeder will reimburse 50%
of the extra cost to fix at time of spay/neutering umbilical hernias, undescended testicles, or other congenital
abnormalities that are not affecting the animal’s quality of life but
require necessary surgical correction to remove the risk of complications.
For one-year contract reimbursements, the breeder requests the buyer’s licensed vet makes
all claims in writing.
In the rare case of an
unexpected, unexplainable death, the breeder will refund 100% of puppy price if
findings are due to a congenital disorder.
Total Reimbursement Contract
Total reimbursements under the Green Family Kennel
Health Contract will not exceed the price of the customer’s puppy. The
breeder reserves the right to base reimbursements on local Strasburg Vet Clinic
fees.
